The most important maintenance is to keep it clean and free from lint buildup.
- Clean the outdoor air vent. Use a dry paint brush or special dryer vent brush.
- Clean the exhaust hose once each year. You will need to remove the hose to do this. Try not to let any kinks into the hose because that will trap the lint. But hoses are not very expensive to replace, if you need to.
- Clear lint. Clean lint from the corners and cracks on the door and inside. Use a dry paint brush to do this
